Looking forward to seeing you on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at 8 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time at the Digital Heritage Consulting Live Stream.

In this time of homebound people finding new ways to do creative things and to connect with others, I’m stepping up and doing a house concert (as it’s in my house) that will be produced by Digital Heritage Consulting and broadcast live over Facebook Live. While the concert is free, I am accepting donations.

I’ve been a musician for most of my life, and have performed soloing with symphony orchestras, coffee houses, festivals, and other events, but always I’ve done them with at least one other performer. This is my chance to stick out my artistic neck and be just me performing.

I’ve done music from contra dance instrumental tunes, solo lieder, choruses and the like in numerous genres, and this concert will be a sampling of a variety of music. You’ll hear a cappella pieces (both solo and duet with my Power Harmonies partner, Lynn Noel), songs with ukulele accompaniment (in English, Swedish, and Hawai’ian), as well as instrumental pieces on the hammered dulcimer. The concert is listed as May Songs & More, as it is the day before May Day and the traditional start of Summer in the English folk tradition, and I certainly will be adding the “more” in this concert!

I look forward to having you be there for moral support. This is a stretch for me to put myself out there as a soloist. I’ve only been playing the ‘ukulele for about two years seriously, and this is the first time that I’m accompanying my own singing. Luckily, I’ve been upgrading my technical equipment here, so I’m hoping between that my ever improving broken shoulder, and the amount of time that I’ve been able to practice over the past few weeks, I should be in good performing shape.

I’m grateful for all the support and the friendship of all of you!
