Performers
Note: Because for the historic flooding in Northeast New South Wales, Australia, Deb Lynn will not be able to participate in this concert and Ken Mattsson will be taking her place. While we will rebook Deb for a future concert appearance, we have decided that we would like any contributions that attendees would like to donate be sent to the Red Cross of Australia’s NSW Flood Appeal.
Mike Boldi has been playing guitar since high-school and played in many different Boston based bands, including rock, top 40, and Irish. After a few trips to Hawaii, he picked up a ukulele in 2008 and never looked back. Playing mostly jazz and classical music now. Mikw also taught ukulele and guitar at the Middleton Public Library till the pandemic shut down the library, but still offers free lessons. Just send him a note to sign up!!
Molly Garrett took up the ukulele when she retired from teaching in Philadelphia’s Head Start Program and often visit classrooms to play and sing for kids. With the quarantine, she discovered the zooming ukulele community and fell in love with so many lovely supportive people and such a variety of music. Songs are such markers of our history, so many memories and discoveries to explore.
Deb Lynn is a ukulele player from Sydney, New South Wales, Australia who has become a favorite of the Boston Ukulele Community for her eclectic mix of songs and her beautiful singing voice.
Jerry Peng is a self-taught musician who is passionate about jazz. He bought a concert ukulele as a novelty item after moving to the Boston area and was amazed by the versatility of this simple 4-strings instrument. He has been a long time member of the Ukulele Union of Boston and is known for his dazzling instrumental performances.
